This is a collection of old family photos and documents, for all to download. Consider it a work in progress, in which you can help. If you know additional information about the photos such as dates, places, missing names and spelling errors, or if you have additional photos or documents that should be here, send them to  .

Production

The bulk of the photos were created from a "copy negative" of the original produced by Moon Photo in Seattle. The "copy negatives" were then used to create new 8" x 10" or 5" x 7" prints. These in turn were scanned at 300 dpi (dots per inch), auto level adjusted in Photoshop, and saved as .jpg's with minimum compression. The result is 2400 x 3000 pixel or 1500 x 2100 pixel images, respectively.

The bulk of the original documents were scanned at 600 dpi, downsampled to 300 dpi in Photoshop without level adjustment, and saved as .jpg's with minimum compression. If you'd like a copy of the original scan, contact us.

Downloading

The "thumb nail" images contain very little information. First, click the image to get the expanded view. Then right click the image and select "Save Image As…" (Firefox) or "Save Picture As…" (Internet Explorer) to save the image to your machine.
